Mary Ann

Mary Ann grew up in a suburb of Los Angeles.  After graduating from The University of Southern California, she purchased a one-way ticket to Washington D.C. to explore politics and to fulfill her dream of working inside The White House.

When Mary Ann returned to Southern California she worked for a foundation, followed by a successful career in sales at a large telecommunications company.  When she was blessed to be a stay at home Mom, she heard a faint whisper during the kids nap time to explore and develop a deeper relationship with God.  Mary Ann then enrolled at The University of Santa Monica where she earned a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Psychology.

As a child, Mary Ann remembers one of her first “big” prayers to God was to have a “simple” last name.  Lanchantin was just too long, had too many syllables, and was difficult for friends and teachers to pronounce and spell.  After decades of embracing the benefits of  her name, she married the boy she met at school in first grade; Mary Ann then became a Smith.  They have been married for 17 years and have two children.  She loves God’s sense of humor.

Mary Ann feels one of the best gifts in life is believing in something more powerful, loving and beautiful than anyone can possibly imagine.
