Mindfulness Monday – JOY

February 23, 2015

Mindfulness Mondays

On Saturday, February 21, 1015, I attended a Day of Recollection at Loyola High School in Los Angeles where Father James L. Heft, S.M. shared: “joy is profound; happiness comes and goes.” He closed the day reminding us to “be confident, be seen, be joyful!”

Today, take a mindfulness moment to deeply root your entire being in JOY. Fill up every part of yourself with JOY, every vein, every bone, and every cell. Take 5 minutes to breathe it in and breathe it out.  Visualize yourself acting joyful and sharing joy with others.

Fully Alive

Be Confident, Be Seen, Be Joyful!

Life is a miracle; the journey’s a prayer.

Prayers Work.

(Father James L. Heft, S.M. is President of the Institute of Advanced Catholic Studies at the University of Southern California.)
